Vicky knows a thing or two about fitness. We chatted with her to get the inside scoop on her wellness routine!
Tell us a bit about you?
My name is Vicky Caruso. I am 30 years old. I grew up in New Jersey and have lived here for the majority of my life. I ran Division 1 track at the University of Delaware for 4 years. After I graduated I started working in medical billing but soon got into Crossfit. I started out at Sparta Station Athletics in 2014, I fell in love with the sport and knew I wanted to get into coaching. I started out as a part time coach, but turned it into a full time job about 5 years ago. I am now the general manager and head coach.
What's your daily wellness routine like?
My daily wellness routine is pretty simple. I wake up at 4:30am every morning to coach. I get home around 9am and that is when I eat breakfast, I will read for about 20-30 minutes and just relax, mentally get ready for the day. I get to the gym around 11am and train for 2-3 hours. When I get home, I eat dinner, do some mobility work and journal before going to bed.
And workouts?
As far as my workout routine, I strictly do Crossfit. I am a competitive athlete. I train 2-3 hours a day for 5-6 days a week. I participate in competitions all around the world. I just went to Las Vegas a few weeks ago, last year I competed in Miami and London.
Favorite healthy foods?
My favorite healthy foods would be any type of fruit, I could eat fruit all day. I also love a big salad.
What's the best advice you ever had?
The best advice I have ever received was that you can accomplish anything if you’re willing to put the work in.
What's your favorite way to use COAST?
My favorite way to use COAST is before I go out and have a couple drinks. I always wake up the next morning feeling great and I know my body will be recovered.
